Alevo Pty Ltd – originally known as Athlegen – is a testament to enduring Australian craftsmanship, innovation, and a family’s vision that has proudly held its ground for over three decades.

We began our journey as a humble Australian family-owned business specializing in the manufacture of premium massage tables. More than 35 years later, our commitment to excellence in quality and design remains unwavering.

Athlegen, Centurion and Forme Medical

Athlegen
Established over 30 years ago, Athlegen also started with portable treatment tables and later began manufacturing electric treatment tables in Ballarat, Victoria. The company is known for its high-quality products and has supplied Australia’s Olympic team with electric and portable treatment tables for over 25 years.
The public company that purchased Athlegen also acquired Centurion. In 2007, Stephen Falkiner purchased the combined operations, returning it to a family-owned business. Over the next 15 years, the Centurion brand was used for imported products, while Athlegen became the brand for Australian-made items, accounting for over 80% of sales.

Centurion
Centurion started manufacturing portable treatment tables in Sydney over 30 years ago and later expanded to electric tables.
In 2000, Centurion supplied all treatment tables for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, marking the largest global retail order for such products, delivered on time and within budget.

Forme Medical
Forme Medical started as Australian Medical Couches (AMC) and has been manufacturing Australian-made medical examination couches for over 25 years.
After being sold to a private investor in the mid-2000s, the company expanded with factories in Carrum Downs, Victoria, and Thailand. On 4th January 2021, Athlegen acquired the manufacturing facilities and the Forme Medical brand.
Until recently, all the above brands operated under the company name Athlegen Pty Ltd. However, it has now changed its name to Alevo Pty Ltd while retaining the same ABN. This change aims to unite three previously separate manufacturers under a single brand, and the transition is ongoing.
Alevo Pty Ltd now operates from a brand-new, purpose-built factory in Ballarat, Victoria.

Alevo Pty Ltd started in business as Athlegen, an Australian family-owned manufacturer of massage tables. More than 35 years later, it still is.

The company has recently moved into a brand new purpose-built state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ballarat, Victoria, the town where it originally started manufacturing.

The company’s purpose has always been to create treatment tables that raise the bar for professional practice and lower the stress for clinicians and their patients.

Over the years, the business has acquired other local treatment table manufacturers, such as Centurion and Forme Medical, and delivered more than one hundred thousand treatment tables to satisfied customers in more than 40 countries, while maintaining a leadership role in Australia.

Alevo is in business for the long haul, not short-term profits, and this is reflected in all aspects of its operations.
